So you've read the letters from scientists, maybe you've written your own...
Now what?
Reading these letters may generate your own emotions - hope, fear, sadness. These are all understandable feelings, but it is vital that you don’t let fear lead to inaction. Yes, this is a huge issue, yes we are fighting an uphill battle, but all is not lost.
There is always something you can do to contribute to a solution. Lobby your local government representative, learn more about the issue, and educate your family and friends. Recycle, ride instead of drive, be aware of your carbon footprint and try to reduce it. Talk. Keep this issue in the forefront of your mind and the minds of others.

Want to hear the stories of more scientists?
More than Scientists is a new collaboration between scientists, advocacy organizations, and the public. It uses personal, inspiring videos from scientists to engage the public and help them understand what climate change is, what it will mean for the future of our families, and motivate them to action. |
